Linking to our science topics of Earth, Sun and Moon and Forces, we were given a design brief to make a moon buggy that could carry 3 moon rocks (rubbers). We investigated different types of circuit, axle, chassis and pulley, deciding which we wanted to use for our vehicle. After a lot of trial and error, perseverance and problem solving, we all managed to make a moon buggy that travelled forwards (some more successfully than others!) We then raced them at the end to see which was the champion. After a slight technical difficulty to start with, Coben, Kieran and Harvey made the moon buggy with the smoothest ride, most steady speed and straightest line of travel – well done boys!
