Year 6 visited The Word to take part in a computing workshop. All of the children had great fun, learning many new skills. During the session at the students:
- Designed, wrote and debugged programs that accomplished specific goals using a variety of software.
- They solved problems by decomposing them into smaller parts
- Used sequence, selection, and repetition in programs e.g repeat loops and nested loops
- Used logical reasoning to explain how some simple algorithms work and to detect and correct errors in algorithms and programs
The pupils were a credit to the school and worked fantastically in groups to solve the problems given.
