Our Year 6 children were extremely lucky to take part in a STEM workshop with Newcastle Eagles. We designed our own basketball courts and hoops and even made some functioning springboards to launch the ball into them. We had to evaluate and change of designs along the way to produce the most sturdy and reliable mechanisms. In order to gain additional materials and support, we had to undertake some physical challenges – we had great fun! What a brilliant afternoon!
