In the second Autumn half term, the school council decided that they were going to do something for the local community.  In the penultimate week of term, our school choir usually go to Blenkinsop Court (a local care home) and sing Christmas carols and take shop bought cards for the residents, some of whom don’t receive any cards at all. We thought it would be a nice idea to hand-make some Christmas cards and put a personal message inside for the residents.  It took a long time, but we managed to make 42 unique cards which were delivered by the choir members who are also a part school council.  The residents were over the moon with them and we were so happy that they liked our efforts and that we were able to spread a little bit of Christmas cheer!
