Rainbow Flag News

20th December 2022a hayward

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved 2 more badges toward our Rainbow Flag Award. We also had fantastic comments from the judges awarding them.   In the feedback for policies it was commented that “It is clear that your policies and procedures were already of a good standard with regard to inclusivity even before you began working towards the Rainbow Flag Award. The work that you have done towards this sectionhas simply made good policies even better.”  And we are really proud to share the feedback about Parents and Governors – “You have done some really great work towards this section. It is clear that you have a great set of governors and parents who are all supportive of the work you’re doing towards the Rainbow Flag Award.”

Well done everyone!

Staying Safe Week

2nd November 2022a hayward

Staying Safe Week

14th November to 18th November

This week is all about knowing how to stay safe in our homes, when we are out in the community, when we are online and when we are in school.  It is also Anti-Bullying Week, and the theme this year is ‘Reach Out’. The children will be consolidating what bullying is and what they already know about it. They will be exploring different situations they may find themselves in and what the different actions and consequences could be. The focus will be on ‘reaching out’ and telling a trusted adult  if the children experience or see any bullying behaviour.  The children will also explore online safety and cyberbullying culminating with ‘Friendship Friday’ where the focus will be on what a good friend is and how to sustain good friendships.
For further information, see the attached documents for parents and carers and for children and visit https://anti-bullyingalliance.org.uk/anti-bullying-week
