Free events will take place throughout the week which are open to parents and carers, young people and professionals with the aim of raising awareness of school exclusions, the wider impact on families and the support available within South Tyneside. The SENDIAS Service will be displaying the Project 2,999 Blanket, created with 2,999 individual crocheted squares; made with parents and carers, children, schools and communities, the blanket serves as a visual representation of the sheer volume of children who experience school exclusions. There is no need to book to attend, feel free to ‘drop-in’ between 4 and 6pm, refreshments will be provided.

Further information about the week can be found via the service website; www.southtynesidesendiass.co.uk
