On Friday 16th September, Year 4 children visited Jarrow Hall to find out more about Anglo Saxon life. We enjoyed learning about how the Anglo Saxons made clothes and we even had a try at spinning wool. We also learned about the herbal medicines that people would have used in Anglo Saxon times. We enjoyed walking on the farm and discussing the important roles the animals played in Anglo Saxon life. We went inside of an Anglo Saxon house and listened to a story about King Oswald as we sat around the cosy fire. We all had an amazing day!
