2nd February 2021S Admin (Biddick Hall Juniors)

Fitness challenges this weekend were to challenge a classmate or family member to throw beanbags into a hoop or to try the challenge with rolled up socks into a laundry basket. On Sunday, you could create a fun dance to your favourite song. Sophie and Penny had fun doing both activities.

Mental Health Week

28th January 2021a hayward

Next week we are going to be taking part in Children’s Mental Health Week, organised by Place2Be.  The theme of the week is ‘EXPRESS YOURSELF.’ We are going to achieve this through finding creative ways to share feelings, thoughts or ideas, through things like art, writing, music , dance and doing things that make you feel good.

We will be doing loads of activities at school and those working remotely at home will be asked to join in.  Keep checking your Google Classroom to see what is going on in your class.

Learning about The Phases of the Moon in Year 5!

27th January 2021S Admin (Biddick Hall Juniors)

As part of their Earth and Space topic, children in Year 5 have been learning about the phases of the moon. We know that the phases of the moon depend on its position in relation to the Sun and Earth and as the Moon makes its way around the Earth, we see the bright parts of the Moon’s surface at different angles, known as the ‘phases’ of the moon.

We had a fun and ‘tasty’ afternoon using biscuits to represent the phases of the moon.
