In our English lessons, we have been writing and performing poetry. We had great fun performing some raps which we had written about ourselves, thinking about rhythm and rhyme.
As part of our celebrations for Roald Dahl’s birthday, we took part in a drama workshop based on Willy Wonka in which we had to pretend to be things such as ‘Oompa Loompas’. We had great fun!
As part of our study of the Ancient Greeks, year 6 received a visit from ‘That History Bloke.’ He told us all about how the Ancient Greeks lived and we thought about how they have impacted on the modern day world, including the English language. He showed us lots of Ancient Greek artefacts and some of us even got the chance to dress up!
On Thursday February 26th Year 6 enjoyed a day at Eden camp as part of their topic in class. It was a long journey but well worth it.
Year 6 have been learning about the French culture, tasting the cuisine and learning some French names.
